In September 2020, the Cumbria Opera Group will host the inaugural Cumbria Opera Festival. The festival will include operas, masterclasses, concerts, workshops and discussions featuring renowned opera performers.

Highlights include a recital by Roderick Williams OBE (5th September), a double bill of Bernstein's Trouble in Tahiti and Barber's A Hand of Bridge (6th September), a masterclass led by Joan Rodgers CBE (11th September) and two performances of Mozart's Così fan tutte (10th & 12th September).
